A popular event with many regular competitors and a chance to get your hands on The Jubilee Trophy,this event sees you meeting up for a breakfast while plotting your route on a map to visit a series of grid references and finding the answer to the questions at each grid reference. The winner being the team with the shortest miles covered. We all return to the start venue and enjoy a coffee while the results are announced.

I bought this car as a project 3 years ago. Since then it has a replacement engine from a 1971 MGB and the head has been rebuilt. It has had a new clutch, alternator, classic ignition system, starter motor, 2 new tyres. The previous owner refurbished the brakes and suspension. The previous owner also resprayed the car, but did a poor job and it needs redoing, ideally back to metal this time. I have used it for MGOC club meets, runs, classic car shows and some Autotests with the MGCC. It has a sunroof with no leaks but it needs a new internal lining. The car runs well and has the classic MGB burble. It is tax and MOT exempt. It was insured ( approx £100 per year) until last month. It is not SORNed so it is legal to drive once insurance bought. I bought the car for £6100 and spent a lot on the new work,  but ready to take the loss and sell it for £3000. I would prefer to sell it to an MG enthusiast with the ability to do the paintwork

The Lincolnshire Centre of the MG Car Club is pleased to announce the return of our popular Pride of Ownership evenings for the 2026 summer season.

These relaxed and enjoyable gatherings provide members with the opportunity to showcase their MGs in friendly surroundings while enjoying good company at a selection of excellent local venues across Lincolnshire.

Unlike formal concours competitions, our Pride of Ownership events are judged by the venue’s landlord, adding a fun and informal touch to the proceedings. At each event, the winning cars will receive a commemorative rosette with rosettes awarded down to third place.

A small entry fee will be payable on the night for those wishing to enter.

This year’s venues and dates are:

• The Abbey Lodge, Woodhall Spa – 4th June
• The Ferryboat, Washingborough, Lincoln – 23rd June

BBMF / Lincs Aviation Visit – 5th June 2026

Join the MG Car Club Lincolnshire Centre on Friday 5th June 2026 at 10am for a guided tour of the BBMF hangar at Coningsby, followed by lunch at the NAAFI at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, East Kirkby.

This is an opportunity to enjoy two recently upgraded aviation venues.

The Battle of Britain Visitor Centre at Coningsby has recently been revamped with new exhibits, and the NAAFI at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, East Kirkby, has also recently reopened.

Free parking is available at both Coningsby and East Kirkby. Museum entry charges apply.

The BBMF Visitor Centre is free to enter and has a café for anyone not wishing to take the hangar tour.

The tour costs £12 per person (non-refundable). To book, please contact Richard Withington at richard.j.withington@gmail.com for account details to make a BACS transfer.

The last date for tour tickets is 31st May 2026, subject to limited spaces.
