Drive it Day 2022
Sunday 24th April was National Drive your Classic Car Day. The MGCC (Lincolnshire Centre) organised a visit to the Walled Garden, Baumber with drive ins from Boston, Caistor, Lincoln and Dyke so that participants could enjoy a drive through the Lincolnshire Countryside in glorious sunshine and then meet together for a lunch. Thirty eight cars were booked in with a variety from MGs including TC, TFs, MGA, ZB Magnette, MGBs, MGC, MGB V8s, MGFs and modern TFs. Among the non-MGs that joined us included a Ford Zephyr, a Mustang and a modern Honda. Also present at the venue were the Austin 7 club which had about 10 cars for us to enjoy.
Participants were invited to undertake a walking Treasure Hunt which was won by Lynn Wright and David Stearn. Then followed a Pride of Ownership competition where the results were as follows

A very enjoyable day in the gardens and as a result of everyone’s participation the Car Club was able to donate a sizeable amount to the Walled Garden so that they could continue to provide such a wonderful attraction.
